The Virgin Queen kept the portraitists busy, as did her courtiers, hoping to be preserved for posterity in all the glory of their lush garments. Sadly for some of these ladies and gentlemen, although their portraits survive, the identities are lost forever.

This roving is NOT superwash treated. All colours are small batch hand-dyed using low acid dyes.

The photos are examples of the different colours. All my wool is dyed in small batches - although not truly repeatable, batches are close enough to use more than one together.

Your monitor settings may affect the colours you see; colours may vary slightly from batch to batch.
